Our 2025 performance tells a clear story:
Alba delivered record results while
strengthening the foundations
that matter most – safety, people
and sustainability.
We did not just deliver record results in 2025. We
proved that safety and sustainability can scale
together.
Ali Al Baqali, CEO
Our achievements were not only exceptional in scale, but
in how they were realised: safely, responsibly and with a
disciplined focus on continuous improvement.
2025 at Glance
We exceeded the ambitions set out in our four strategic
objectives: Be an Albawee, Tapping into Talent, Alba’s
Open Space, and e-Al Hassalah Year-2. We surpassed our
production targets with a historic output of more than 1.6
million metric tonnes, underscoring Alba’s resilience and
its commitment to sustainable growth. We also became the
first industrial company to join the Open Innovation
Program backed by Tamkeen and managed by Brinc MENA,
opening new pathways for collaboration with Bahraini
startups and SMEs to co create advanced, future-ready
solutions.
Our strong fourth-quarter performance underpinned a solid
full year outcome, with Alba delivering a Net Profit of
US$581.6 million, representing an 18.5% year-on-year
increase. These results reflect improving market
fundamentals, disciplined cost management and the
sustained benefits of our digital and operational
excellence initiatives.
Our Balance Sheet continued to strengthen, with Total
Equity increasing by 8.4% to US$5,546.8 million as at 31
December 2025, supporting the Board’s recommendation of a
final cash dividend of Fils 43.51 per share, reaffirming
our commitment to rewarding shareholders while preserving
financial flexibility for future growth. Operationally,
production and sales volumes remained robust, with value
added products accounting for 74% of total shipments,
underscoring our strategy to enhance product mix and
margin quality.
Our journey is clear: Transform Alba from a successful
smelter into a benchmark for responsible, industrial
excellence.
Ali Al Baqali, CEO
Our leadership in industrial innovation was further
reinforced as we became the first aluminium smelter in the
Middle East to deploy the AI powered analytics platform
Seeq. This deployment is transforming efficiency, quality
and asset reliability across our operations by harnessing
advanced AI and machine learning capabilities.
Safety & People at the Core of Everything we do
Our safety culture reached new heights in 2025. Alba
secured six major National Safety Council awards and
became the first aluminium smelter globally to achieve the
British Safety Council 5- Star certification – a powerful
testament to the vigilance, ownership and dedication of
our workforce. We also completed a second consecutive year
without a Lost Time Injury, surpassing 43 million safe
working hours without LTI and reinforcing safety as a
non-negotiable value.
People development remained a strategic priority. During
the year, 56 Bahraini employees successfully completed the
Al Jisr Training and Development Programme, designed to
build essential supervisory skills and accelerate the
progression of high potential nationals. In parallel, 15
standout employees including seven women were recognised
with the Inspirational Employee of the Year Award,
reflecting our commitment to recognising and empowering
talent across the organisation.
Every dinar saved through e-Al Hassalah is reinvested in
Alba’s future: in our people, our assets and our
decarbonisation roadmap.
Ali Al Baqali, CEO
ESG, Decarbonisation & Digital Transformation
Guided by our ESG Roadmap, we advanced our decarbonisation
priorities with the launch of EternAl ACTM, offering
customers verified carbon allocated aluminium and
strengthening Alba’s position as a regional leader in
responsible production. Our Industry 4.0 and AI enablement
efforts continued to accelerate, building the digital
backbone required for scalable transformation and
supporting our ambition to achieve Global Lighthouse
recognition.
Our e-Al Hassalah programme delivered US$67.32 million in
savings in 2025, powered by Lean Six Sigma and AI driven
initiatives, well above our target of US$60 million. This
performance reflects a strong culture of operational
excellence, value creation and disciplined capital
stewardship.
Looking Ahead
We enter the next phase of Alba’s journey with strong
momentum and a clear set of priorities to sustain Alba’s
growth and reinforce its leadership in responsible
aluminium production. In alignment with Bahrain’s 2060
Net-Zero Vision, we’ll continue to embed sustainability
across our value-chain from raw material sourcing to
product delivery while sharpening our focus on safety,
efficiency and talent development.
Our focus is unchanged: to position Alba not only as a
global aluminium leader but as a benchmark for safe,
sustainable and competitive industrial excellence,
creating a lasting value for our shareholders, our people,
the Kingdom of Bahrain and all our stakeholders.
